Good Girl, Bad Blood (A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, #2)

A book by

When I read Good Girls Guide to Murder, I thought it was so fantastic. I listened to it in audio as I drove to my son’s college graduation. It was an epic road trip with an epic book. I literally felt like I was listening to a true crime podcast. After listening to that book, I learned it was part of a series. I thought there was no way the others could be as good, but as I started listening to this book, the author basically told me to “Hold her beer.”

How do you one-up yourself? Holly Jackson basically did with this one because I have prided myself on being able to figure out something within a book, as 90% of them have some type of predictability, but this one, not a thing, was predictable. The characters were relatable and had depth. The writing was intriguing and had me fully holding on to the steering wheel because, you guessed it, child #2 was graduating, and another epic road trip had me listening in again. Of course, I had to pick this book because it just made perfect sense and a tradition.

I have to caveat that on the first road trip, my father went with me and complained that a crazy redhead was driving him through corn fields listening to a murder book. LOL. Fast forward two years, and my father has passed away, so of course, I took his ashes with me so he could experience the trip all over again because he’s not getting out of that one.

A little morbid? Maybe, but oh so fitting for this book, this vibe, and I needed him to be at the graduation of my baby girl.

Bravo, Holly Jackson, you rock, and I’ll read the phone book if you write it again!

Curious how the graduation went?  Here’s my baby!
