The Magicians Land

Have you ever wanted to learn real magic? Do you believe magic is real? Welcome to The Magician’s Land.

Growing up, I knew that there were lands we couldn’t see with the naked eye and that the mind could create fantastical and amazing places. I never knew that these places could come alive if we believed in them enough. When I started reading fantasy books, I found my happy place and escaped to worlds to which I felt I belonged more than in real life.

I’ve read about worlds that felt more real than my own living room. I felt accepted in places where humans and animals lived as one, where creatures that you were supposed to be scared of were your best friends, and where danger was an adventure.

One thing always rang true about these lands: the adventure never ended because while I closed the book, my mind continued dreaming, wishing, and fantasizing.

When I was forced to come back to reality, the joy left me, and the mundane became gut-wrenching.

I’ve grown up and realized that I can’t live in fantasy land, but I can visit it as often as I want. I’ve come to terms with life and making my own fantasyland here in the real world, and I’ve found happiness within reality because of it.

When I read the Magicians Trilogy, I imagined this was what Fillory was and how the residents and characters within Lev’s mind were quite like me. You have to find your way in the world, find a place where you belong, and live your adventures. We get one chance at this life, and you’ve gotta live it.

The Magician’s Land (The Magicians, #3) by Lev Grossman

I first came across The Magicians on Netflix and quickly fell in love. When I found out there were books, I was in love. I won Book #3 in a GoodReads Giveaway and was completely giddy. Who couldn’t love these books when all the imagination, fantasy, and downright magic are pouring from this author’s imagination and fingers?

Finding the fantastical things, dark, light, and all the others, was an absolute delight and enlightening.

I’ll look forward to reading more books by this author.

Until next time, my friends
